On Thursday, November 26, 2020 at 1641 hours the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting someone had been shot in a hunting incident near the intersection of Czech Ave and 7th Court in the Town of Coloma, Waushara County Wisconsin.  The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Natural Resources,

Neal Tew, age 58, of Adams, appeared in Adams County Court on Nov. 17 facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography and, in a separate matter, one count of failing to comply with an officer in an apparent suicide attempt.

Brett Stratton, of Adams, age 18, appeared in Adams County Court facing charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and for possession of THC as a party to a crime, on Nov. 17.

Kailex Martin, Age 22, of Dell Prairie, was sentenced for second degree child sexual assault in Adams County Court on Oct. 28, two years after the complaint was filed.

Thomas Williams, age 49, of Camp Douglas, was sentenced On Nov. 3 for  the charge of theft by contractor for failing to fix the roof of Eric Maas after accepting a down payment of $3500.00.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office collected 275 lbs of unused and unwanted medications.  This total surpasses our total of 239 lbs from 2019.  The Town of Rome Police Department also collected 69 lbs.

Last week the number of new COVID-19 cases rose 125 setting a record for a single week, according to Public Health Officer Leah Eckstein at the monthly Health & Human Services Committee meeting on Nov. 9. This brings the total number of cases in Adams County to 731 as of Monday.

Manuel Garcia appeared in Adams County Court to face charges for his role in the events that surrounded the fire at 117 S. Main St in the City of Adams as a result of a meth lab fire on Sept. 25, 2017.

After having his probation revoked on Sept. 14, John Pelger, of Arkdale, appeared in Adams County Court for sentencing for charges in 2017 including strangulation and felony bail jumping. In 2015 he had been convicted of three misdemeanors including disorderly conduct and retail theft.

Pablo Cruz, of Adams, appeared in Adams County Court on Oct. 13 facing charges of bail jumping and disorderly conduct from an incident that occurred in May of this year. In June, Cruz had been sentenced to 30 days in jail for a 3rd degree sexual assault charge in an unrelated case.
