Steven Petit, age 55, of Friendship, appeared in Adams County Court on Jan. 13 charged with his fifth OWI. He was also charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked driver’s license as a fourth offense and for failing to install an ignition interlock device as a second offence. Petit’s prior OWI’s occurred in 1997, 2003, 2011 and 2017.
Michael J Cupery, age 33, appeared in Adams County Court on Jan. 6 facing five counts including possession of a firearm as a felon, disorderly conduct, stalking, second degree reckless endangerment, and possession of THC with intent to sell.
At approximately 7:51pm on January 16, 2021, the Rome Police Department responded to the 300 BLK of 15th Ave. for a utility-terrain vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers observed a Can-Am UTV tipped onto its passenger side. The officer found that two injured females were inside the UTV.
At approximately 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday January 6, 2021, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 600 block of Gulch Avenue in the Township Dell Prairie to serve a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) on a Daniel Schweda, age 47 of Wisconsin Dells.

At approximately 10:30am, on January 07, 2021, the Rome Police Department was notified of a UTV that had fallen through the ice on Lake Arrowhead. The driver of the UTV escaped to safety, was assessed by Rome First Responders and Nekoosa Ambulance, and did not suffer any major injuries.
