Shanda and Cody Sletten of New Lisbon are the parents of a baby girl, ShyAnna Bonnie Sletten, born June 30 at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston. She weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounce and measured 18 ¼ inches. Maternal grandparents are Bonnie Akerberg and Tom Litkea of New Lisbon. Paternal grandparents are Dawn and Randy Sletten of Wilton.
Wisconsin-based traveling theatre company Summit Players Theatre is returning to live, outdoor performance after a year off due to COVID-19 and will be performing Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale from June 12 to August 22 in 24 different Wisconsin State Parks. All performances will be free and preceded by a 45-minute educational workshop.

The 2nd Annual Alex C. Dove Foundation Fundraiser for the Dove’s Nest was held on Saturday May 15th in the Town of Rome. More than 1000 people attended the event. There were 40 volunteers who helped make it spectacular!
The Annual A-F Snack Pack Golf Outing was held on Sunday May 16th at Moundview Golf Course. This 4 person scramble is a successful fundraiser for A-F Snack Pack. A-F Snack Pack is a program that provides snacks to Adams Friendship Area School District students that can last over a hunger-filled weekend.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services released new information about the newest variant of concern, variant B.1.617.2, also known as the Delta variant. Following the CDC’s recent classification update on June 14, DHS will begin reporting current case counts that are updated weekly, starting tomorrow, June 17.
