The City of Adams is planning for a fundraising event to be held on March 17 to raise money for new playground equipment at Lions Park, it was announced at the City Of Adams City Council meeting on March 1. The City has already received a $3,000 donation toward the fundraising event.

During the monthly COVID-19 update at the Feb. 16 County Board of Supervisors meeting, it was reported that 13.6% of Adams County residents have received at least the first round of vaccinations. Over 450 people have received two doses.
The Spring Primary for most Adams County voters consisted of one ballot for the office State Superintendent of Public Instruction. In the Town of Quincy, voters also voted for Town Board Supervisor 2 to reduce the number of candidates from 3 to 2 for the Spring Election.
Earlier this month, the new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), or “recycling center” to most of us, had its soft opening. After months of delay, the new facility, when at full capacity, will be able to triple the current output of our recycled content. In 2020, almost 2,500 tons of glass, aluminum, plastic, and cardboard were processed.

In early 2019, a friend contacted me about becoming a short-term host for a female foreign exchange student. She knew my children were grown and out on their own, with their own families, and that I lived in a small town. The student had been placed in Waupaca, but found herself uncomfortable in a larger town than she was used to.
