The Duck Derby and Spring Party was a Huge Success

A hugely successful Duck Derby and Spring Kick Off Party was held on Saturday May 1st at Friendship Park and Lake in Friendship.  The weather was beautiful, and fun was had by everyone who attended this celebration of spring in Adams County.  Attendees were able to watch duck races, participate in raffles, and have plenty to eat and drink.

Bobby Hilson-City of Adams Mayor

Bobby Hilson has been elected as the City of Adams Mayor.  This is his second, non-consecutive term as the Mayor of Adams.  Hilson became Mayor in the 2017 Spring Election and held that office until 2019.  He continued to serve as an Alderperson for the City of Adams.

City council approves resolutions

Bobby Hilson was sworn in as Mayor of the City of Adams on April 20 during the organizational session of the City Council, replacing Bobbie Pantaleo after serving as Alderperson and then as Mayor over the last six years.

County Board approves new County Manager

The Adams County Board of Supervisors approved the appointment of Cynthia Haggard as the new County Manager/Administrative Coordinator at its Apr. 20 regular meeting. The vote was unanimous. The position became open when, last fall, County Manager Casey Bradley announced his resignation and intent to work for the City of Baraboo.

Airplane Fire Crew Based at Adams Airport

This is wildfire season for Wisconsin.  As of 4/19/2021, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) set restrictions on outdoor burning in Adams County.  Burning without a permit is allowed in Adams County only between 6 p.m.
